Since 1999 AHAA has been honoring those that have made significant contributions to the U.S. Hispanic advertising and marketing industry. Expanding on this program, AHAA is establishing the AHAA Hall Fame. The AHAA Hall of Fame recognizes a select group of visionaries, leaders and luminaries who have made significant contributions to the development and advancement of the Hispanic advertising and marketing field.
AHAA Hall of Fame inductees will represent the growth and achievements of the Hispanic advertising and marketing industry. In celebrating their accomplishments, we seek to encourage future industry leaders to pursue new feats of excellence.
All Past Winners of the Caballero & the AHAA Lifetime Achievement Award will automatically be in the Hall of Fame (see list below).
Induction into the AHAA Hall of Fame will be awarded to men and women who have dedicated more than 35 years to the Hispanic advertising and marketing industry. These individuals who have played an extraordinary role in the conceptualization, building and development of the Hispanic marketing and advertising field and have made outstanding and notable contributions to the profession and the community, and whose ethical standards never faltered. In addition to those who have been more visible, the AHAA Hall of Fame seeks nominees who have made crucial, behind-the-scenes contributions as well. Members into the AHAA Hall of Fame will include, but not be limited to, those that worked in agencies, media companies, research companies, production companies, academia and clients.
AHAA’s Hall of Fame will recognize the nominee’s lifelong accomplishments and contributions to the U.S. Hispanic market. Nominations can be made for those still practicing or can be made posthumously. Individuals cannot nominate themselves.
Nominations must be received by Monday May 1st. The task force will select the top 4-5 nominations for inclusion into the June 2017 class of honorees. Individuals wishing to nominate someone should submit a letter of nomination that addresses the following:
Impact: The individual has made an extraordinary impact on the development or growth of the U.S. Hispanic advertising and marketing landscape and continues to demonstrate relevance to the markets ongoing advancement and evolution.
Influence: The individual’s contribution has significantly influenced 1) the work of others in the field; 2) the market at large; or 3) the advancement of specific clients and projects.
Innovation: the individual’s contributions have broken new ground with original thinking/creativity that has established new paradigms, eliminated significant obstacles or accelerated advancements in the market.
Reach: the individual’s contributions has significantly impacted the overall U.S. Hispanic marketplace among society at large and/or within key or specific geographies.
Nominations are reviewed and screened to ensure they meet the nomination criteria and eligibility. The task force is responsible for the final selection of inductees. The next class of inductees will be announced at the AHAA Annual Conference that will take place June 12-14 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.
