Welcome
to Miami
Dear AHAA Colleague:
Miami's the place. April 21 the day. You are the epicenter.
Welcome to AHAA's 16 th semi-annual conference, "¡PONTE EN EL MEDIO!"
This conference is decidedly focused on providing maximum value to the varied disciplines within our membership. We invite you to get involved, contribute and expand your understanding of some of the most critical issues facing our industry today.
With this conference we proudly launch the AHAA CEO Forum, an opportunity for the leaders of our member agencies to better understand issues critical to our collective growth, such as how to structure a competitive compensation agreement or how to create a winning RFP. For those on our front lines, we are offering an both a business view and editorial perspective on the changes consumers can expect to see as a result of continued market diversification and recent mergers and acquisitions. In addition, because so much of what we do is about shaping perceptions and creating preferences, we will examine some of the leading public relations techniques to best position your agency with clients, colleagues and industry leaders. We will also release the newest findings of our ongoing research, the "Right Spend III " report.
Headlining our roster of expert presenters will be the leader of the agency currently at the creative epicenter of our industry, Jeff Hicks, President, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, who will share his experience of growing from regional creative hot shop to award-winning marketing partner-of-choice for global brands such as BMW, IKEA, Burger King and Virgin Atlantic Airways. We are also extremely fortunate to welcome Tony Segarra, Chief Creative Officer of Spain's SCPF, and one of the global creative community's most celebrated experts.
In keeping with AHAA's tradition of working hard and playing hard, on Thursday evening we will travel back in time and celebrate "Tropicana-Style" circa 1955!
We will also present the AHAA Lifetime Achievement Award to one of the pioneers of our industry. The conference will close with the presentation of the fourth annual Media Awards honoring the best media plans in our industry and recognize the Media Executive and the Media Planner of the Year.
A sincere thanks to our conference sponsors for their continued support of AHAA's activities.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Magic City!
